The "Depot Restaurant" has become a landmark to the folks of Lincoln and surrounding counties. Born from Gladys' love of people and Danny's appetite for her down home cooking. The restaurant was started on August 21, 1991 in the little railroad community of McKinney, Kentucky. Since both Danny and Gladys came from a long line of railroaders, it became almost natural to adopt the railroad theme for the restaurant.
The Kentucky depot has been the subject of articles in Southern Living magazine, The New York Times and the Best of the Midwest. Well-known authors such as Byron Crawford, Gary West and David Dick, just to name a few, have also published articles about the restaurant. The Kentucky Depot Restaurant has now become widely known for a variety of home cooked food, southern hospitality and loyal friendly staff. You'll find Gladys to greet you when you come to join us for supper. While you're here be sure to try our famous "Brown Sugar pie." Hope to see you soon!
